In an important respite for government employees, the government has now come with an official order to pay all the pending Dearness Allowance (DA) dues for 7 months, in cash. The decision will benefit thousands of employees, who have been waiting for their payments due.
Official Order Regarding Payment of DA-arrears
With reference to the latest circular from the Finance Department: Pending, Dearness Allowances from July 2023 to January 2024 will be disbursed to government employees in cash, directly crediting employees’ bank accounts in one installment.

For instance, if the basic salary of an employee is ₹30,000 and the DA hike is 4%, then he will approximately get ₹8,400 as arrears.
When DA Arrears Will Be Paid?
According to the official order, the DA arrears of 7 months will be paid in March 2025. The amount will be credited in cash offering much-needed financial relief to employees before the new financial year.
