Hero MotoCorp has released the Xtreme 125R, a sporty model under its 125cc range, which is priced starting at 95,000 for the IBS variant and 99,500 for the ABS variant.The motorcycle has an impressive mileage of 66km/l as claimed by the manufacturer, putting it in great consideration for performance and economy seekers.

Design and Features

The Xtreme 125R is designed to be aggressive and modern and features a projector LED headlamp, a muscular fuel tank, a split-seat setup, and a split grab handle. Full LED lighting, including LED turn signals and tail light, boasts instant modernity. A negative LCD instrument cluster with a gear position indicator and Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts provides a nice technological flair.

Engine and Performance

The new 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine powering Xtreme 125R makes 11.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm, which is actually striking some competitors in the face, the only competitor other than the Bajaj NS125 being the Xtreme 125R. It can sprint from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.9 seconds and gives enhanced dynamic riding. The addition of Hero’s i3S idle stop-start system further boosts its fuel economy.

Chassis and Suspension

The Xtreme 125R features a brand new diamond frame, with a 37mm telescopic front fork and a 7-step adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear, offering balanced yet comfortable riding. The bike employs a 276mm front disc brake in this 125cc segment combined with the rear drum brake, plus a single-channel ABS for the safety of the highest variant.

Pricing and Availability

The CRUX 125 is priced competitively between Rs 95,000 and Rs 99,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) for its corresponding variants of IBS and ABS. Available in Cobalt Blue, Firestorm Red and Stallion Black, the motorcycle will be available at Hero dealerships across India from February 20, 2024.
